Chiropractic Care
A Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) focuses on the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system and how dysfunction affects the health of an individual. Most commonly, chiropractic care is used to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to neck and back pain, and extremity and/or joint pain.
Chiropractors practice a drug-free, hands on approach to health care. By delivering a controlled force called an adjustment into a specific joint that has become restricted in its movement, Chiropractors restore joint mobility and therefore, functionality to that joint.
A chiropractic adjustment rarely causes discomfort. However, some patients may experience a mild ache or soreness following treatment similar to muscle aches after a work-out or activity. The discomfort usually resolves within 12-48 hours.
Conditions chiropractic often helps with include:
Spinal Pain – Neck, Upper Back, Lower Back
Joint or Muscle Pain
Headaches & Migraines
Ear Aches
Colic
Gastrointestinal Disorders
Sleep Issues and Insomnia
Upper Respiratory Infections
Allergies
Asthma
